Mugabe's latest pledge

So, even as he stuffs his face with birthday cake, Mugabe sets out his intention to seize more farms.
This obscene event is a clear reminder to the world that this tyrant needs to be removed from power NOW. The Zimbabwean people are struggling with a worseining cholera epidemic and the severe food shortages are affecting half the population. And yet this dictator simply ignores everything going on around him and indulges himself in the extreme. Shame on you, Mugabe.

'Botox Bob'

Is it any wonder Mugabe looks the very picture of health for an 85-year old? Most of us would if we lived the luxurious lifestyle he affords himself. A new era. Really?

So just 2 days into a 'new era' for Zimbabwe and Mugabe is already up to his old tricks. But should we be surprised. Hardly. He swore in hardline supporters to lead the security forces in a unity government today, just an hour after a top aide to the new Prime Minister, Morgan Tsvangirai, was arrested. What message does this send out? Not one of unity, I'm afraid.
